Margaret Dimond, PhD, is an innovative and experienced healthcare leader. Margaret joined Sparrow in May of 2023 as President of Lansing based Sparrow Hospital and was promoted to Regional President of UM Health-West and Sparrow Health System on September 1, 2023. Dr. Dimond has deep roots in Michigan and an extensive background in all facets of hospital operations, including acute care, ambulatory, and physician group experience. She has a proven track record of success by leading caregivers toward common goals while maintaining a focus on caregiver and patient satisfaction, improved quality metrics, and financial performance. She is well-respected throughout healthcare and has distinguished herself as an advocate for female leaders. She was part of the founding team of the Michigan State University Women’s Leadership Institute. Margaret has held numerous important executive positions in healthcare in Michigan, including serving as President of E. W. Sparrow Hospital; President and CEO of McLaren Oakland Hospital in Pontiac; President and CEO of Ascension Crittenton Hospital in Rochester; President and CEO of Karmanos Cancer Hospital; President and CEO of McLaren Medical Group; Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Henry Ford Hospital Warren campus; and Vice President of Ambulatory Services for Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. She also served as Assistant Dean for the Michigan State University College in East Lansing. Most recently Margaret served as Chief Administrative Officer for Naples Physician Group/Naples Heart Institute, a division of Naples Community Health Care. Margaret received her doctorate in Philosophy from MSU, while earning a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Michigan, a master’s in Social Work from Boston College, and a bachelor’s degree from St. Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana. |
