Editarian Report for March 21, 2024
It's five o'clock on a Thursday
The Rotary crowd shuffles in
There's an old man sitting next to me…

Queue the harmonica solo.

So that’s how our Rotary get together started at a new venue, the Grand Bar at Lansing Shuffle. By my count, there were 30 or more when I left, but given how the count ebbs and flows with the early birds leaving and the late comers arriving, I’m guessing all in all 50 attended. If I were prone to embellishment, I’d say 100 attended. Alright, since you asked, more than 100 attended! Many a tall tale was told by the attending Rotarians. The food faire was adequate to the task, and the liquid refreshments quenched the crowd’s thirst.

Today’s meet and greet was proof of concept that Lansing Rotarians can break the mold and gather at diverse locations. No slight to LBC, but getting out and about in the community will take us out of the shadows. Surely there are more venues we could grace with our presence! Suggestion box is linked to the email below. Maybe for future meetings, we could have our banner announce our presence to the onlookers wondering just who is that great looking group of movers and shakers who by all accounts appear to be enjoying the daylights out of life. As usual, being a little social on Thursday is a great start to the weekend.
